Quite a weekend

The temperature is finally starting to dip below 2000; even the humidity is below 345% - Fall must be upon us! There are only about 3 weeks of the year here in the Dirty South that I pray and hope for a Jeep, we are now in one of those 3 weeks.

We were able to play outside with Morgan and Sercy last night while I cooked out on the grill. I'll post some pictures later this week. Morgan was having a blast chasing Sercy (who was chasing a soccer ball around the back yard).

Auburn stepped up and finally played to its potential this weekend and crushed all the hearts and spirits of Gator Fans around the world. It was awesome to see the freshman Wes Byrum kick the game winning field goal not once, but twice (find it on YouTube if you didn't see it on ESPN)!

Happy Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's Day, if you forgot - go online and order flowers, stuffed animals, jewelry, or whatever she has been hinting at for the last couple months and have it sent same day air - no price is too high.

We had a great day yesterday. I got up and made Mother's Day pancakes for Jen and Morgan, went to church, and met Dad, Janine, Alex, Christy, Brandon, and Jackson for a buffet brunch at Olde Town. It was nice and relaxing for everyone.

Here is Morgan's "Happy Mother's Day" wish:

So You Think You Can Dance?

Fox is bringing back So You Think You Can Dance for a third season. Try-outs were held in NY, Chicago, LA, and Atlanta this last week (today being the last call-back day). I never watched the show and really didn't know that there had been two previous seasons. As I was blog-stalking today Double 3 had a compilation of the King of Pop doing his thang.

Two thoughts:
1. Michael Jackson as a human is a freak show!
2. Damn! That man could dance! (I got a little sea sick twirling in circles and think I may have broken my toe trying to do some of this moves in my cubicle.)

I'd like to see someone from the new season of Think You Can Dance to bring back some of Michael's moves. Check out the video and be prepared to be instantly smiling!

Anyone see South Park last night?

Ummm. Those of you that are offended easily probably don't watch South Park on a regular basis. For someone that watches it on random occasion I cannot believe what they did last night.

If you are curious to see what the "world" is going to be complaining about for the next day or so - go to YouTube and check it out. Search for South Park and Wheel of Fortune.

How is it that South Park has become our social commentators? (By the way, I thought it was a well written show.)

Is Benny Hinn the Jack Baur of TV Evangelism?

Thanks for posting this on your blog Los! No wonder people think Christians are crazy...

But at least you can get a good laugh from it!

Minimum wage only effects 1% of workforce...

Ted Kennedy goes on a rant!

Apparently only those people that work with their hands, backs, and legs are true "workers". Those of you that work with your brain don't count!

Are we sure he is drinking water?

Morgan with the Olson Clan

We all had a great time with Grandma, Papa, and Auntie Brea over the weekend. Here is a short video of Morgan - pictures from the park, at home with crayons, and on an afternoon walk!

Not a gamble I would take...

BlasphemyChallenge.com
RationalResponders.com

These are two of the websites that are being set up on the web for atheists to unite. The purpose of these websites is “come forward and put their souls on the line” by denying online and in public that there is no God and to prove they aren’t afraid of God.

Here is the article from Newsweek and MSNBC.

I'm not real sure what to say. I am suddenly at a loss of words. Pray for them?!

Pre-Christmas Blizzard 2006

Well winter has arrived in full force, at least it has in Denver (it is still in the 50s here in ATL). The In-Laws were supposed to arrive Thursday/Friday to spend Christmas with us, but apparently 3 feet of snow is going to get in their way! For those of you that don't watch the news on television or online; or that don't get a newspaper or blog updates: the snow also shut down Denver International Airport (DIA) from Wednesday until about noon (Mountain Time) Friday.

Here is what inside DIA looked like over the last 60 hours or so (DenverPost.com). We are really bummed that Morgan/we won't be able to see the Grandparents and Auntie Brea over Christmas, but are planning on seeing them to have "Christmas 2006 - Take 2" in January.

Here is the winter up date that Papa Brian put up on YouTube (it says day 2, but day 1 was no longer on youtube?):

Fanny Packs

How many of you remember the fanny pack craze? I'm sure I still have my "Vision" fanny pack somewhere. I'll have to find it and bring it back!

PS3 for $1

A guy from Canada bought a PS3 for $1700 and then goes to sell it on eBay for $1 to help boost the holiday spirit. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this whole situation. On one hand, this guy is extremely generous to give up the money and the game system. But on the other hand, what a chump for giving up the money and the game system.

I do admire him though...

Here is the link to write a letter to Santa explaining why you should get the PS3.
