Kroger Alert!

Why is it in the South that as soon as a weather forecast shows even the slightest hint of winter weather the shelves of Kroger, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Super Target, Walmart, and the Piggly Wiggly are sold out of bread, milk, and water?

I can somewhat understand the bread and water if the forecast was for a "southern blizzard" (accumulation of greater than 12 inches), but I'll never understand why milk is sold out too!?

Here is an article in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution (also known as the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation) talking about the possibility of wintery weather this week.
