This morning I was supposed to run 7 miles before going work. I woke up before my alarm went off at 5:15 AM (don't you hate when that happens?), looked at my clock and saw that I had about 15 minutes before I needed to wake up, get dressed in the dark (trying not to wake up Jen or Morgan), and head out the door to the humid morning.
With all that in mind, I took a quick inventory of my faculties. My head hurt and my legs were still sore from my 13 miles on Sunday and 3 miles yesterday. So, what did I do? I turned off my alarm clock and rolled over for another hour of sleep. Of course, I was then awakened by my blackberry-pager.
All this means is that I am at a 7 mile deficit for this week. I'll try to make up for it on Thursday (I'll run 5 instead of 4) and will run the planned 10 miles on Saturday/Sunday at a little faster pace than I normally would.
Maybe I should have just gotten out of bed and ran...
