Suprise Birthday/Promotion Dinner

A couple weeks ago I secretly made reservations for Jen and I to go out to a nice dinner without Morgan (Grandma Ronda is going to babysit - yeah!). Jen's birthday is in the next couple weeks, so I thought that I would surprise her.


We are going to the Sun Dial Restaurant on top of the Westin Hotel here in Atlanta. It is Atlanta's "Ultimate 360 degree Dining Experience". For those of you that aren't friendly with heights, this is probably not going to be the place for you - it is on the 73rd story (723 feet above Atlanta - the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere).

As part of the restaurant, the "ultimate cocktail lounge" completes a full rotation every 30 minutes. So not only is the bar over 700 feet in the air, it spins!

I may have to take out a loan to pay for dinner, but I am looking forward to celebrating my beautiful and kind wife's birthday!

I'll post pictures this weekend so you can see the Atlanta skyline at night. Hopefully the cloud cover will be nonexistent!

Thanks for all you do in our life (as a couple) and for the strength and support you give to me and Morgan. Happy birthday (early) and congrats on the job promotion! Morgan and I love you lots and lots.
